As the Director of Nursing Education, you will be responsible for overall education, policies, procedures, training, and initiatives for the entire facility. Multiple years of experience in Nursing Education is important in order to be successful in this role. The Director of Nursing Education will report to VP of Operations/Chief Nursing Executive and direct and develop the facilities programs, polices, projects and be responsible for all continuing education.
The Director of Nursing Education will also develop and oversee the Orientation process for new nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring the onboarding and training of new staff is successful and all staff members get off to the right start. Leading projects and initiatives will be another area of responsibility, giving this Director a real opportunity to work directly with the Chief Nursing Officer to do lasting and impactful work in a wonderful hospital.
Additionally, the Nurse Director of Education will serve on multiple committees, have budgetary responsibilities, directly supervise and mentor staff and be an active member in regional and national organizations.
