Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Specialist
An esteemed Southern California teaching pediatric hospital is seeking an ambitious Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Specialist will work in a 250-bed hospital that will provide educational opportunities for the CNS, as the hospital is recognized for its dedication to the comprehensive care of more than 134,000 children who visit annually. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will also join a team of highly skilled Nurse Educators, Nurse Managers, and Perinatal Nurses who are devoted to clinical excellence.
The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Specialist will support a unit with 12 labor rooms and serve as a Women Child Services WCS expert in educating and evaluating direct care to perinatal patients. The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Specialist will also counsel and educate infants families regarding treatment options and community resources. The ideal Clinical Nurse Specialist must have a Master’s degree in nursing as a CNS, California CNS certification, and California RN license. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will also have at least three years of experience in labor and delivery, the Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification and the Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring certification. A Perinatal Nurse Educator will also be considered. AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Instructor preferred.
