This hospital has built a strong reputation in the Greater Seattle Area for excellent patient care and outstanding services. The Psychiatric CNS will join a facility that offers a wide range of health care services including Emergency Department with Trauma Center, Surgical Services, Family Birth Center, NICU, Heart and Vascular Care, and more. It is a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. It has received the Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and STEMI Receiving Center Silver Plus Award. This medical center has been a staple of the community for many years, and the incoming Psychiatric CNS will play a large role in keeping it that way. 

The Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS will report to the Manager of Education and support nurses and managers in unit-wide clinical improvement. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with the Manager and Director of Behavioral Health in creating education initiatives to promote clinical practice that is efficient, safe, timely, patient-centered, and effective.

The Behavioral Health Unit is a 60+ bed unit which ranges from adolescent to geriatric patients. The Psychiatric CNS will provide education and training to the Psych Nurses and assist in creating curriculum for the unit. This person will have the opportunity to work with healthcare leaders across the Inpatient Spectrum and serve as a subject matter expert for Behavioral Health.

The Seattle Area is famous for many reasons - you can check out Pike’s Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Seattle Symphony, all in a day’s walk. The Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS will find a lot of popular cafes and restaurants in the area which is perfect for a family trip day out.
